Ice Skating at Nottingham Winter Wonderland

Ice skating will be open from 11am - 10pm daily from 21st Nov to 4th Jan 2014 
(45 minute sessions starting each hour from 11am until 9pm LAST SKATING)
YOU CAN ALSO SKATE ON THE DAY ... Just turn up and skate!
You can also turn up and pay to skate on the day subject to availability. On Saturday’s and the week leading up to Xmas, it is best to check in advance with the ice rink enquiry line.

2013 Sees the welcome return of the ice rink to the Old Market Square.
Ice skating for everyone ... great fun for all your family and friends.  No Wonderland is complete without an ice rink... even if you are a beginner or a confident skater you will find our skating rink welcoming. Our cute helper penguins are on hand to help any little ones learning to skate .

Our 30m x 20m real ice rink will ensure ample skating room for both learners and nifty movers alike.
Enchanting experience with all the magical theme of the seasonal period ... trees, snow, light,
market cabins, winter bar,  rides and everything else that the Winter Wonderland has to offer.

Price Tariff

Boot hire is free of charge.

Adults £8.50

Under 12 years £6.50 (must be accompanied by an adult)

Students/Senior Citizens Monday-Thursday only £6.50 (Excludes Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve)

Family ticket 2 adults and maximum 2 children (under 12 years) £25

Penguin hire (trainer sleds) £2 each limited stock available (not available to book online)


£5 per child Monday to Friday before 5pm (School term time) Adult Supervisors / Teachers go free

Minimum 10 paying per group, includes 45 min rink time and skate hire

20th November 7pm until 10pm (Please pre book as sessions are expected to sell out due to Christmas lights switch on)

25th December Closed

5th January 11am until 6pm

last skate starts an hour before closing time.

All skating is in hourly sessions, allowing 45mins skating, please arrive 20mins before your chosen session time.
Booking online allows you to skate ONLY ON SESSION TIMES BOOKED ... tickets cannot be transferred to other session times or other days.
When you click the BOOK NOW icon you will be transferred to our ONLINE TICKET PORTAL ... from there you choose the Nottingham Ice skating event from the drop down menu ... then choose your time slot and ticket type.

Skater's Code of Conduct and Assumption of Risk Agreement

Ice skating can be hazardous. Skating is entirely at your own risk.The management will not be held responsible for any loss or injury incurred.

Access is entirely at staff/management discretion.
• Your ticket is non-transferable and non-refundable unless the management alters or cancels your session, in which case, you will be offered an alternative sessions or refund.Your ticket includes the hire of skates. Please ensure your skates fit properly before getting on the ice.

• You agree to adhere to any instructions given by either the management or Ice Marshals during your time at Nottingham Winter Wonderland.

• You agree to wear suitable clothing for ice-skating. The hoods on ‘hoodies’ are not allowed to be worn for safety reasons.

• You agree to behave in an appropriate manner and accept that you will be asked to leave should you cause offence or disturbance due to anti-social behaviour without refund.

• You agree that you will not take any food or drink onto the ice.
• You agree not to cause damage to any Winter Wonderland Skating property.

• You agree that you will not attempt to sit or climb on the rink barriers.

• You agree that you will be considerate to other skaters at all times.

• You agree to not lifting or carrying anyone on or around the ice.

• You agree not to smoke.

• You agree to keep off the ice until Management or an Ice Marshal confirms the session is open regardless of the time.

• You agree to be respectful and not litter in or around the rink and to use the bins provided.

• You agree to not go on the ice unless you are wearing ice skates.

• You agree that you will not skate against the general flow of skaters, speed skate, play games on the ice or attempt any acrobatics on the ice.

• You agree to skate in the direction instructed by an Ice Marshal or management.

• You agree to keep personal belongings to a minimum and that bags, phones, cameras and personal entertainment systems are not permitted on the ice. Belongings are left at your own risk.

• Children under 4 are not allowed on the ice.

• Children from 4-8 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult. A maximum of 3 children can be accompanied by 1 adult.

• From time to time photographs will be taken for promotional use. Please advise the Ice Marshal/Photographer if you do not wish to be photographed.
